Well, Misty is from the cerulean gym which focuses on water types. In the comic the gym consisted of a pool and a diving board on each end, so might go with that if you choose to add a bg later.

Very masterful artwork XD I love the way the colors turned out. I'm not a fan of steampunk-ish artwork (well, that's the feel I get from it), but this is a keeper for me.

Nice work on this. The cell shading looks good, but if I might, maybe a little more shading on the face where the hair covers. not a lot there and according to the shadow at her feet, there should be slightly more noticeable shadows. Likewise for the tongue of the shoes. That's just me though, and the art looks really good as is, so take it as you will.
